We had a great day at Chester Zoo. A big thank you to all our parent/carers who helped make it a successful day! We have been learning all about Jungle animals. We have been using non-fiction books to learn different facts about animals. Did you know that the tiger is the largest cat in the world and a snake moves using its muscles. We had a special visitor this week teaching us some spanish! Gracias Nuria! This week we have been learning about the importance of keeping safe online. We made our own E-safety posters. We have been learning all about Elmer and had an Elmer celebration day! We have been celebrating Chinese New Year. We have made Chinese lanterns, lucky red envelopes, practising Chinese writing, using chopsticks, lion dancing and tasting Chinese food too! Gung Hei Fat Choi! We have been learning all about Winter. The children have settled in very quickly and have been sharing their news about their Christmas holidays.

We have had great fun learning new songs and performing them to our parents/carers.
We have been singing and signing Christmas songs too! Have a look below to see what we haven been up to. We have been baking dinosaur biscuits. We measured the ingredients and mixed it all together. We took turns to roll out the dough and cut out our biscuit with the dinosaur biscuit cutter. Mrs Farrell then helped us put it in the oven! They were really tasty!

Key Information
PE- PE takes place every Friday morning. Please ensure PE kits are clearly labelled with your child's name (including footwear!). Homework- Phonics/Mathematics homework will be sent home every Friday. Reading- Guided Reading books will be sent home every week. Please ensure reading bags and books are in school everyday. Drinks bottles- Children can bring their own drinks bottle to school. Please ensure it is clearly labelled. School Uniform- Please ensure all belongings (including coats, hats etc..) are clearly labelled with your child's name. |
